Every trip we run is private, so a tailor-made Bhutan tour is simply how we work. The itineraries on this site are starting points. Most people begin with one and change it: an extra night in Punakha, a festival added, a day’s walking swapped for a day’s rest.
Others start from nothing. If you have a week in April and want rhododendrons, or two weeks and want to reach the far east, tell us and we will plan it from the first day to the last.
Trips built around one interest
Some trips start from a subject, not a route. We plan birdwatching tours for the cranes of Phobjikha and the forests of the east, cycling and motorbike tours over the passes with a support vehicle, and wellness and spiritual journeys with hot-stone baths, quiet temples and time to yourself. A photography tour and a honeymoon tour have itineraries of their own.
What helps us plan
- When you would like to travel, and how fixed the dates are
- How many of you there are, and the ages of any children
- How much walking you enjoy
- The standard of hotel you prefer
- Anything you especially want to see or do
What happens next
We reply with an outline, day by day, and a price per person. You tell us what to change. When it is right, we arrange your visa, hotels, guide and vehicle, and help with flights to Paro.
